The Goa Legislative Assembly was adjourned for 10 minutes on Day 1 after Opposition MLAs created an uproar in the House over a Question Hour query concerning No Development Zones (NDZ) under Section 39A of the TCP Act and Regional Plan 2021.
Speaker Ganesh Gaonkar temporarily adjourned proceedings as the protests intensified. Opposition MLAs had stormed the well of the House after the Speaker disallowed the question, while Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao also raised a Point of Order challenging the decision.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant informed the House that the Porvorim shootout case was transferred to the Crime Branch on Monday morning. He said the investigation into the firing incident is underway.
