Dabolim: Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho reviewed ongoing works and arrangements at various Ganesh Chaturthi visarjan sites in New Vaddem, Chicalim and Dabolim, and announced several development plans for the areas.
During the visit, Godinho said the iconic Dabolim Cha Raja Sarvajanik Ganesh celebrations will be held below the newly constructed flyover.

He said he has directed the MVR contractor to develop the entire area into a concrete platform to facilitate the Sarvajanik Ganesh celebrations. The minister added that the area will subsequently be developed into a park with benches, along with a futsal ground.
Godinho also announced that work on a new railway overbridge at the New Vaddem–Shantinagar stretch would commence shortly.
He further said plans are in place to establish a new Vaddem police outpost in the area, along with beautification works to improve the overall surroundings.
The minister said the proposed infrastructure and beautification projects are aimed at improving public amenities and creating better facilities for residents while supporting major community celebrations such as Ganesh Chaturthi.
