VASCO: Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, along with railway and Water Resources Department (WRD) officials, conducted a joint inspection of the railway underpass to assess issues related to waterlogging and traffic congestion.
The inspection was also attended by MMC Chairperson Girish Borker and the WRD consultant. The team reviewed the existing conditions at the underpass and surrounding areas, particularly near the Tanya Hotel junction, where traffic movement has been affected.

Salkar said plans are being worked out to ensure smoother traffic flow in the area and address the recurring waterlogging problem.
According to the MLA, additional measures are also being considered to reinforce and level the roads around the underlying pipelines and improve the supporting infrastructure.
The inspection also focused on controlling the flow of water from underground streams into the newly constructed railway underpass road. Officials are expected to coordinate on measures to improve drainage and prevent water accumulation while ensuring uninterrupted traffic movement.
The proposed interventions are aimed at improving road safety, drainage and traffic management around the railway underpass.
