PORVORIM: A pedestrian died while undergoing treatment after he was allegedly knocked down by a scooter on BB Borkar Road near Thomas Stephens Konkani Kendra.
The deceased has been identified as Ramachandra Shrungare.

According to Porvorim Police, the scooter was allegedly being ridden in a rash and negligent manner by Nilratan Kunda, 32, a resident of Pilerne. Shrungare sustained injuries in the accident and later succumbed while undergoing treatment.
Porvorim Police have registered an offence under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation is underway.
