Fatorda Police have arrested six persons for allegedly stealing BSNL telephone, copper and optical fibre cables, with three accused arrested in Goa and the remaining three in Maharashtra. Police said around 168 kg of stolen material was recovered during the operation. A total of 10 FIRs have been registered across the district in connection with the alleged thefts.
According to police, the accused allegedly targeted BSNL cables, disrupting telecom services in several areas. The operation was conducted under the supervision of South Goa Superintendent of Police Akshat Ayush. Police are continuing their investigation into the cases and are examining the extent of the alleged cable thefts and the involvement of the arrested persons.
