Ami Goenche Rakhandar (AGR) has announced a mega protest at Azad Maidan, Panjim, on October 10, 2026, at 11.30 am, calling for measures it says are necessary to “save democracy and protect every vote”.
AGR has appealed to political parties, civil society organisations, activists, lawyers, students, NGOs and concerned citizens to participate in the demonstration.

According to the organisation, the protest will focus on four demands — scrapping the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), seeking the resignation of Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, banning electronic voting machines (EVMs), and protecting every voter and every vote.
The organisation has urged citizens and groups supporting its demands to join the protest.
