“Gonsalves failed to appear before the ACB officials for investigation at least 10 times on flimsy grounds. When questioned, he could not satisfactorily disclose the source of income for his amassing disproportionate assets,” a police statement reads. The ACB has also charged him with threatening the witnesses in the case with one of them accusing Gonsalves of assault on him.

PANJIM: The anti-corruption branch sleuths on Tuesday arrested the Colva panch Calvert Gonsalves for failing to cooperate with the investigation into disproportionate assets case registered against him.
