When asked about the uncertainty over starting of sand mining in Goa, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said the matter is under consideration. He said reports on two rivers have been received from NIO and a report on Mandovi is pending. “We have to also put up these for lease renewals,” CM Sawant said while speaking on the sidelines of World Oceans day at NIO, Dona Paula.
In regards to the high crime rate in Goa, he said there is a high crime detection rate and culprits are immediately arrested and put behind bars.
