Calangute had the first crack at the rival goal in the initial moments of the match. However, Quepem keeper Chandrakant Naik came with a fine save to push away Simao Fernandes strike at the goal.
Quepem broke the deadlock in the 21st minute when Joao Araujo on getting hold of the ball from Robin Pinheiro slotted the ball home.
Vincent Barbosa took Quepem up by two goals when he brilliantly curled his 25-yard free-kick into the far corner of the rival goal.
On resumption of play, Calangute tried hard to get back into the match and managed to reduce the margin in the 50th minute when Mohan Palyekar gave finishing touches to Sylvester Fernandes’ cross.
In the closing stages of the match, Mathew Colaco made the issue safe for Quepem when on getting past a hold of Calangute defenders he fired in a low grounder to make it 3-1.
