Mayem Block Congress committee President Rayu Sawant stated that the committee has selected Pravin Zantye as their candidate, who has been  working in Mayem constituency for the last four and a half years.
Addressing the media, Sawant said that Zantye had been working with zeal and enthusiasm and is instrumental in strengthening the Congress party. “Under such circumstances, if the party attempts to sideline him and impose some other candidate who may be new,  then the entire block will revolt against the Congress party and will leave it at any stage,” aid Sawant.
Aparnadevi Rane, a speaker at the press conference, claimed Zantye has been instrumental in creating a strong base of youth and women activists in all the 42 booths and hence it won’t be possible for them to work with some other stange candidate.
Sandeeep Ghatwal said: “It’s ridiculous to hear about some other candidate than Pravin Zantye making an attempt to get Congress party ticket, despite the party officials being well aware that Zantye is working for the Congress party.”

for the upliftment of people of Pale constituency,” he claimed.
Prof Raghunath Gawas said he was satisfied with MLA Gawas’ work to such an extent that he gave up his thought of applying for the Congress party candidature from Pale constituency.
