VALPOI: After around hundreds of milk farmers from Sattari taluka, held a meeting and blamed the government for the Kamdhenu scheme not reaching them, other milk farmers from Sattari have come out in support of the scheme.
Addressing the media on Friday, the dairy farmers said that Kamdhenu scheme was a good scheme and wanted the government to maintain the scheme since it helped farmers.
Scrapping of the scheme would affect other farmers, they felt. Some also requested the government and the Veterinary Department that before passing the file of a farmer, they should first check how much land and capacity that farmer has.
