PONDA: Sinquerim SC entered the final of 32nd All Goa St Anne’s Festival Inter Village Soccer tournament after defeating Ponda Footballers 4-0, organised by Ponda Footballers powered by Dr. Ketan Bhatikar’s SPARC in association with SAG, at Animal Husbandry ground, Curti-Ponda, on Wednesday.
In the fifth minute, Chandan Govekar got hold of a loose ball in the flank and managed to trick a defender and placed the ball under diving keeper to give the lead.

In the 13th minute, a defender handled the ball and penalty was awarded which Abdul Khan converted. Another defender handled the ball inside the box and Chandan Govekar shot the penalty inside to make it 3-0.
In the second half, Ponda tried their level best but could not penetrate Sinquerim’s defence. Sinquerim made a move but the keeper kicked the player inside the box and referee awarded a third penalty in regular time.
Pratik Tirodkar scored from the spot kick. Chandan Govekar was awarded the man-of-the-match.
