The car which has attracted considerable attention since its launch at the Geneva motor show earlier is being launched in the country in the same year highlighting the growing importance of the Indian market.
Sandeep Gupta, GM, Sales and After Sales, Performance Cars expressed the hope they would be able to sell 12 to 15 cars a year of this model. Goa, he felt was equally an important market and expressed the hope the presentation of the car to interested parties in the State would be a positive experience for all concerned. The company has had success with the DB 9 eliciting a good response in Mumbai with around 15 to 20 cars having been sold in the past. In Goa 3 cars were sold in the past. The DB 11 had generated good interest all over India and orders were coming in.
Asked about the emergence of the electric car Tesla and its effect on the market he said the Aston Martin Rapide which was electric would be launched shortly.
