A collaborative concert by ‘The Terra Rosa Gypsies’

The Terra Rosa Gypsies are all set to unleash a feast of music and dance in a collaboration with Indian and international artistes, at a concert titled ‘Jamgarh’, which will be held on January 23 and 24, 2019 in Mandrem. The extravaganza includes performances by the Terra Rosa Gypsies; Rock & Blues legend Bernie Marsden; Spanish Flamenco by Las Tablas; poetry by Bollywood lyricist & poet, Shellee; and performances by danseuse from Colombia

 An experience, a spectacle of music and dance is what one will get to see at ‘JAMGARH’- a
collaborative concert tour by ‘The Terra Rosa Gypsies’, that’s coming to Goa.

The Terra Rosa Gypsies are all set to unleash a feast of music
and dance in a collaboration with Indian and international artistes, over a
multi-city extravaganza titled “Jamgarh”. The event includes performances by
the Terra Rosa Gypsies; Rock & Blues legend Bernie Marsden; Spanish
Flamenco by Las Tablas; poetry by Bollywood lyricist & poet, Shellee; and
performances by danseuse from Colombia.

While the Terra Rosa Gypsies band are a powerful new sound in
Indian independent Sufi and Rock Fusion music, guitarist Bernie Marsden is no
stranger to rock music fans. In a dazzling career spanning several decades, he
has produced a copious body of work with a slew of bands as well as a soloist.
He is perhaps best known for his hits with the legendary rock band ‘Whitesnake’,
such as ‘Here I Go Again’ and ‘Ain’tNo Love’. The Madrid based, Las Tablasare
the world’s foremost exponents of the Spanish Flamenco.

The concert series kicked off on January 16, 2019 at the Sri
Fort Auditorium, New Delhi, and end with a two-day event on January 23 & 24
at the Riva Beach Resort in Goa.

This is an exceptional, truly distinctive, multi-city concert
tour – Delhi, Dehradun, DLF/Gurgaon, Chandigarh with the grand finale in Goa –
in perhaps a never-before format. Not just one act but a medley of dazzling
performances of music, dance and poetry. Featuring over 20 highly acclaimed
International and Indian artists, each concert promises to be a fiesta of
scintillating music, dance and poetry. . Not just one act, but a medley of
riveting performances, all in one evening, tied up into a sizzling multi-city
concert tour – 5 fantastic venues; 6 magical nights.

For the two day festival in Goa, there will additionally be a
travelling musicians performance and an EDM set.

These collaborative projects come together as Jamgarh Music
Festival Concert Tour, a live continuance of a musical journey blending true
rock, blues and Indian fusion with Spanish and Latin dance rhythms.

Jamgarh will see Bernie Marsden performing his chart-topping
hits; Terra Rosa Gypsies perform some of their best songs, ranging from
soulful, uplifting melodies, to high-tempo rock beats belted out by some
incredibly talented musicians and Las Tablas showcasing the passion of Spanish
Flamenco.

Vineet Sharma, Curator of the Jamgarh Music Festival &
Concert Tour had this to say on the collaboration: “Great entertainment is the
core of our event. We have curated this whole set to bring together the beauty
of different styles of music, and enhance it further by adding a parallel
dimension of flamenco dance. Our aim has been to create a show that offers
something for everyone in the audience.” He describes the Terra Rosa Gypsies
asa group of wanderers and performers, closely connected to earth and nature,
who believe that they bring that earthy magic to theirmusic as well. “The
collaboration with Bernie Marsden came from our combined love for music, but we
never expected the result to be so good. Now we’re excited to share it with the
audience.”

Sanjay
Malik, the Festival director, adds: “Indian audiences are evolving and want
music that has a global appeal. Jamgarh is more than just a music event. It
brings together both international and Indian artistes who are breaking the
boundaries within their genres across various performing arts. Jamgarh is about
pushing the envelope and exploring the beauty of music and movement in its many
different ways. This is just the first in a series of events from ‘Bodhisatva’,
where we aim to create properties that will engage audiences through fresh,
mixed-performance formats.”
