All Madrid in Milan tonight

With the finals of the UEFA Champion’s League upon us, Café looks into the biggest night of the year in club football, and asks fans what they expect tonight to bring

It
all boils down to this: Zidane vs Simeone,
Ronaldo
vs Griezmann; the biggest showdown in club football: the UEFA
Champion’s League. Goa is, of course, divided, much like Madrid; part
of it will be red, and the other part white. Neutrals will rally
behind Atletico, like the masses did with Leicester, because everyone
loves the underdog story. However, Real Madrid has a faithful
following too, which will rally around their club.

This
is how a young Goa responded to how tonight’s encounter could well
play out:

I
expect a tight game, given the form Atletico are in. Being the
underdogs, they have beaten the likes of FC Barcelona and Bayern
Munich. I am definitely rooting for them and predict a 2-1 win for
Atletico.

Although
I think that Atletico deserves to win because of the way they have
played throughout, I still feel that Real Madrid is going to win the
final. I don’t think the game would be a high-scoring one. It would
be a tight match with just a couple of goals on board. Real Madrid
likes to keep the ball and it would be exciting to watch how Atletico
counters them. I am looking forward to a great game.

Atletico
have always been in the shadow of Real, but for these two city rivals
to go head-to-head twice in three years in an UCL Madrid Derby Final,
infers a flourishing era in the capital. Hopefully Atletico can put
all their heroic efforts from all their previous games one more time,
else I don’t see them stopping Real from winning ‘Un Decima’.
