Despacito’s
Konkani cover became the first Konkani song to hit the one million views mark in less than three
months of its online release. The song has been written and sung by Ester
Noronha and produced by Janet Noronha and The Art Studyo. The video has been
directed by Noel Sean, who has also provided the rap segment of the song. The
sound engineering is by Rakesh.
Ester Noronha says,
“It is a record and was definitely not possible without you all. Suddenly,
‘thank you’ seems too short a phrase and gratitude feels too small an
expression for what I am feeling right now.”
The
original ‘Despacito’ by Puerto Rican Luis Fonsi featuring Puerto Rican rapper
Daddy Yankee, is the most viewed YouTube video by views (5.26 billion).
