It’s ironical
really. When the chips are down and Goa steps into fortress Fatorda, fans still hope for some
magic, but in Sergio’s name, because they feel in their hearts that this is
still Sergio’s team. Hopefully romance will triumph reality at the end of 90
minutes or more on Saturday
Our form has been
really good off late in the closing stages of the league. we’ve been scoring a
lot of goals. That gives me hope that we can pull off the impossible at our
fortress. Having Hugo, Brandon and Edu Bedia back brings us back to the full
strength. So tactically we need to stick to Sergio Lobera’s Philosophy if we’re
going to overturn this
– DANIELO FERNANDES,
Student, Varca,
The starting 11
should get two changes i.e Edu Bedia should start along with Brandon and Hugo
who are most likely to return this match. Also we need to play a bit defensive
this game and attack only when necessary as last game we attacked and lost
– PRATHAM AMONKAR, Student, Porvorim,
If FC Goa continue
Sergio Lobera’s Tiki Taka style of play I’m confidant that we will emerge
victorious with at least 5 goals being scored for the semi finals at Fatorda
– RITESH RAIKAR, Student Fatorda
I am a class 4th
student from Ponda. FC Goa is my love and i want to play for Goa one day. My
favorite players are Coro and Hugo. I feel my team can win this game. Our Ex
Coach Lobera has contributed a lot of tactics to players and it’s time to tap
all the energy to win the game
– MASTER VEDKAMAT, Kundaim
The quality which we
have now is only because of the former Coaches Sergio Lobera, Manu and Tato. We
came so far just to see our team win. we will support till the end no matter
what are the results. lets create History and complete Sergio’s Dream
– YUVRAJ RATNAKANT NAIK, Student of Goa College of Music, Sanguem,
Saturday’s match is
no less than a final for every Goan, the players and the 12th Man – The Fans. The
sacking of former Coach Lobera had brought a huge blow to every Goan who
trusted him and we hope to win and qualify for finals and dedicate the victory
for Lobera’s hard work for last three years he spent with the team
– ROYSTEN MOREAS, Velim, self Employed
The 12th Man Gaur
Army will always stand tall to support the Gaurs. It’s going to be my birthday
along with Amey Ranawade and the biggest gift for me would be a victory to
celebrate with the Gaurs
– ELVIS POMPEIA, Student Vasco Da Gama
From Pre game to post
Game interviews, the powerful language of coaches and team leaders is a
trans-formative tool to lead their club to victory. I will support the players
and wish all the best to the team
– RAJ KAMAT, Kundaim , Self Employed
If FC Goa can’t do it
then no other team can. We missed two players midfield who between themselves
had 16 assists which meant Coro had to play in mid which was not his usual
position. Lightning cannot strike twice. We now have the match in our fortress
and we will win 4-0
– ABHISHEK, Service Vasco-Da -Gama
Fans have to be
patient. And in the game of football anything is possible. If they can score so
can we and win too. We have done this before. We believe in our team
– SAHIL, Service, Usgao
The performance
against Chennai in the first leg of the semi-finals was just a blink in what
has otherwise been a brilliant season and by no means does it make our team
weak all of a sudden. If we go by the last four league games, we have scored
four or five goals in all the matches. This without Sergio being present and
now with Hugo, Brandon, Edu available and under the guidance of our own Goan
coaching duo of Clifford and Derrick we will definitely come up 3-0 if not it
will be more goals.
SUBASH NAIK, Marine Engineer, Salvador-do-Mundo
It was the management
who had sacked the coach and we are optimistic that the decision was taken in
the best interest of the club. Let’s focus on the game at hand, shall we?
Honestly, we conceded a few goals too many in the 1st leg but if there is any
team that can overturn this deficit, its FC Goa
– OMI, MUSICIAN Vasco-Da-Gama
