It has been
rightly said that appreciation is a wonderful thing and it makes what is excellent in others belong
to us as well. The Navy Children School, Goa felicitated its staff members on
December 20, 2018 for academic excellence as also for putting in long years of
service. The awards declared by the Naval Education Society were given away by
the chief guest, Rear Admiral Philipose G. Pynumootil, NM, Flag Officer
Commanding Goa Naval Area and Flag Officer Naval Aviation.
Ms Chhanda
Bhattacharjee received the award for outstanding NCS Principal, along with four
more teachers who received the outstanding teacher award for best results in
classes IX-X and classes X-XI among all NCSs. The dedication of four senior
staff members was recognised by way of Long Service Awards for putting in
service between 20 and 30 years as on March 31, 2018. Also, 18 staff members
were felicitated with Long Service Awards for rendering service between 10 and
20 years as on March 31, 2018. Besides this, 2 Physical Education instructors
were lauded for their efforts and dedication to help the school excel at the
national level in football and at the CBSE Cluster IX as well as national level
athletic tournament.
