Agnel Institute
of Food Crafts and Culinary Sciences
conducted their annual Nestle Gastronomix 2018, a Hospitality Students Cooking,
Baking and Mixology Competition on November 30, 2018. The prestigious event saw
the participation of eight Institutes namely V.M. Salgaoncar Institute of
International Hospitality Education (Raia), Institute of Advanced Management,
Nuvem, Guardian Angel Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology
(Curchorem), Deltin Institute of Learning (Salvador Do Mundo), Agnel Vocational
Training Institute, Goa College of Hospitality & Culinary Education, Tata
Institute of Social Science and the host Institute.
The judges for the Chef Competition were Chef Sunit , Vice
President of Culinary Forum Of Goa, Chef Manjit , Executive Chef, of Holiday
Inn and Chef Sudharshan, Corporate Chef of Planet Hollywood . The judges for
the Baking Competition were Chef Pratik, Pastry Chef, The Leela Beach Resort,
Chef Farookh Executive Chef Zuri White Sands Resorts, and Peter Fernandes
President of All Goa Bakers & Confectioners Association .The judges for the
Bar Competition were Devi Singh, Beverage Manager at LPK, Akshay Mangekar, Bar
Consultant, Vernon Vaz F& B Consultant.
The winners for the Chef Com were Baby Gurung and Joyston
Fernandes from Agnel Vocational Training Institute.
The first runners up award went to Kovan Braganza and Lenzel
Pereira from Agnel Institute of Food Crafts and Culinary Sciences. The second
runners up award went to Jason Fernandes and Cleny Dias from V.M. Salgaoncar
Institute of International Hospitality Education.
The winner for the Bake Com was Sweta Pandey of V.M. Salgaoncar
Institute of International Hospitality Education. The first runners up went to
Nella Dias Agnel Institute of Food Crafts And Culinary Sciences. The second
runners up went to Melviston Fernandes of Guardian Angel Institute of Hotel
Management & Catering Technology.
The
winner for the Bar Competition was Jayson Cardozo From Agnel Vocational
Training Institute. The first runner up went to Weljero Mascarenhas from
Guardian Angel Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology. The
second runners up went to Sahil Isani from V.M. Salgaoncar Institute of International
Hospitality Education. Participants were awarded trophies, certificates and
prizes sponsored by Nestle Professional, Mumbai
