The exhibition put up by Photo Journalist Association Goa (PJAG ) comprising the various festivals of Goa bring to mind fond memories of
festive times in a creative melange of colours and images. Comprising the works of 24 photojournalists from a cross section of newspapers and magazines in Goa, the exhibition is open till this evening at the Art Gallery, Entertainment Society of Goa.
“We were planning on having an exhibition at the International Film Festival of India for the past two years and now finally, the Photo Journalist Association Goa successfully exhibited what Goa has to offer,” says Atish Naik, General Secretary of Photo Journalist Association Goa.
“The motive behind this exhibition is to show the delegates and invitees visiting the film festivals that Goa is more than just beaches and the Carnival. We have much more interesting and colourful festivals that take place throughout the year. We have covered at least 80 per cent of the festivals through this exhibition. We have also showcased some of the tradition occupations of Goa,” adds Atish.
Besides this exhibition, the Photo Journalist Association Goa organises an annual exhibition on August 19, World Photography Day.
