This was a new team with a new coach who brought in players who worked hard to blend into a team that played with the style and pizzazz the team was known to play with in the past. Now the wait has grown longer. Another season ended for us. Yes we feel sad for our team, our players, our coaches and all the members of our squad. It was a new season with new players and a new coach, a team that was built in such a way that it could entertain us fans. People said we would not make it to the top four but we believed in coach Juan and he did what we all saw to take us to the top four. If it was someone who gets the credit then I am sure it’s him. He missed some of our top players through injury. He showed us one does not have to depend on one player. There are several other players for whom credit should go because they gave everything on the pitch. Somehow we fell short in the semis, I would say that we are very proud of our whole team they showed great zeal and power we have twice reached the finals. We now look now towards the AFC champions league, chin up boys we all are with you no matter what.

It was very disappointing for Goan fans and players. Although FC Goa played a very attractive football they could not get that one successful touch. So many beautiful chances were created, there was a good chance to finish the game when Edu Bedia took the freekick but James Donachie missed the ball to net in. Now it’s time for the AFC Champions League to forget the past and think about the future.

It’s disappointing to see FC failing almost every time at the last hurdle but we can’t say anything against the team this team fought till the last moment. Surely the trophy will come to Goa sooner or later, FC Goa should keep the good work going. We fans are proud of this team. It was a joy to watch them play this season.

Well the way performed in the entire match was fabulous. I mean 6 shots on target and the other team which was at a peak during the entire season had none. Leaving aside some of the penalty shots FC Goa over performed MCFC. Well yes season ends in disappointment but the effort, individual have put to get to the semis is has to be appreciated and after all it’s a game one will win, other will lose but judging mere on the last penalty shoot out is not correct. Anyways for the Gaurs well played and best wishes for ACL and next ISL season.

Yes the previous seasons were disappointing but not this one, kudos to Ravi and Akshay Tandon who built a good squad after high profile players, the coach and his coaching staff left. Definitely not disappointed this season, it’s the era of Juan Ferrando and his team gave it their all, their blood, sweat and tears right from day one till the very end. Despite several departures, injuries and poor decisions during games we reached the semis and it’s a proud thing. I’m proud of the boys, the fans are proud of the boys, in fact everyone is proud of the boys. There’s no sadness, just happiness all around, a sense of pride among all Goans. You lost the match but won hearts, now all the focus shifts on the AFC Champions League. All the best boys, onto the next season now. Força Goa!

I’m totally pleased with this year’s campaign, the mentality of the club. The determination shown by the players was great. Some players even played despite being injured. Players also had to step up to fill voids due to unavailability or players leaving. FC Goa dominated during the league only to lose due to poor luck. Given that there was no pre-season and this was a brand new team, it will be exciting to see how the next season will be.
– Meblish Fernandes, St. Jose De Areal
It’s been a great season for us despite the disappointment. We lost our key players and the whole team had to rebuild. In spite of there being a number of injuries and controversial decisions Goa played the better brand of football and got to a 4th consecutive Playoff. Over the 2 legs they played their hearts out and deserved to be in the final but as they say football is a cruel game. We will always back the Club Until the end.
