the All Goa Konkani solo and duet singing competition
organised by Herald Group at the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao today, August 14, 2016
at 6.30pm. The third edition of the annual musical event was well attended by
Konkani music lovers.
The
full house auditorium at Kala Academy, Panjim was resonating with the voices
and sounds of Konkani songs from the 70s and 80s as they were sung by
youngsters who brought them back to life with their rendition. With 23
participants from different regions of Goa coming on the biggest stage of
Konkani music, their confidence was remarkable as they performed solo acts and
five duets. With Norman Cardozo leading the band of musicians, music lovers
will get a chance to listen to songs by music stalwarts like Chris Perry,
Alfred Rose, H Briton with hits like, ‘Johnny’, ‘Aik Re Khobramkara’ and
‘Nokre’.
