Pallav Ojha, CEO and Co-founder of IBFW, Asia’s biggest and most enthused
fashion platform under beach, resort, and cruise and destination wear fashion,
announced his association with brands and designers. Gathered at the pleasant
scene of the waves hitting the sea shore at the lawns of Goa Marriott Resort
and Spa, Miramar, the most loved designers, brands, influencers and guests got
a chance to discuss fashion. IBFW had the whole vibe of luxury fashion, with
vibrant colours and displays of different style wears including the obvious
fusion of Indian outfits. The shows and interaction between hardcore fashion
addicts were entirely based on fashion that meant business. The setting
witnessed pop ups and exhibitions by designers, putting across an artistic and
creative feel to it. The music sessions were just a plus for this season’s
IBFW, with the models rocking the runway wearing the most acclaimed fashion
outfits by IBFW’s most prominent associates. To complement the view of the sand
and the sea, and the scorching sun on the trendy and mind blowing fashionable
outfits worn by the designers and guests, the Volkswagen beast stood with pride
in the lawns at Goa Marriott.

Designers from all across the world portrayed their innovative
designs and ideas, each having a unique exposition of fashion outfits showing a
real progress of IBFW. With Pallav Ojha expressing his gratitude to the
associates of IBFW, he said that he was very happy to have some great
associations and partners with great brands and designers who made the IBFW.

“We are happy to be associated with IBFW for the second year and
looking forward to the collections of the top designers that will be inspired
by the Volkswagen Tiguan parked outside,” Anirban of Volkswagen said.

The JD Institute of Fashion Technology is the most important
institute at IBFW as it helps to focus and celebrate young talents of
designers. Sandra Sequeira from the JD institute said, “A great appreciation to
IBFW’s huge platform for designers and institutes. We are using this
opportunity to launch our Institute in Goa and have decided to set up the JD
Centre here.” Being associates of famous entities like London College of
Fashion, Chelsea Art and Design College, Business of Fashion, India Fashion
Week London, Sandra said that JD Institute is working towards getting quality
works from its students and are happy to be allied with IBFW.

Anupama Dayal’s show
‘Equal Love’, which was based on the LGBT community acquiring their rights and
having the freedom to love freely and equally as of the other genders, was a
moment of happiness for all the onlookers present. She expressed herself saying
that there’s no place like Goa to prompt abundant happy feelings that her show
and collection portrayed. “I thank IBFW for giving us designers this wonderful
freedom to put forth the fashion we are relaxed with, and that India could be
strong with as well,” Anupama stated.

Ken Ferns then spoke
on his collection ‘The Fernway’, which means the urge to keep travelling and
exploring, finding your tribe and finding your true self. He expressed his
association with IBFW, saying, “I’ve been with Pallav and IBFW team from its
start and here I am again with all might and power to display my crazy and fun
collection.”

Ikonic is associating
with IBFW for the sixth time now, Pallav said that they have been a major
support to them right from the beginning. A representative of Ikonic said that
“Ikonic is a strong fashion brand with its fashion forward mentality and taking
up trends that will be popular for the next season; we work in great detail
with the designers and will continue to rock all the seasons of IBFW.”

India, known for its
diverse cultures and traditions, is a major influence on designers from all
over the world to use the fine details of Indian outfits and create a fusion of
Indian fashion. Gabriella Demetriades, a model, actress and designer from South
Africa, said, “Goa is one of my favourite places in India, for the diversity
and freedom that we experience here, and our collection is sort of a play on
that.”

Seeing the number of
fashion lovers of Goa present at the beautiful venue, it gives a pleasure to
the designers and IBFW team as it is a major reason of India’s progress in the
fashion industry. To experience a huge fashion event in Goa like IBFW is a
benefit that no person who loves fashion should miss.

The second day of
IBFW began with the most awaited show of budding talents of designers of the JD
Institute of Fashion Technology by Farah Ansari. It was a massive collection of
innovative ideas put forth by the designers, introducing them to Goa and
building a rapport with its audience to join their centre, which will be coming
up at Goa. Following which, Neelam Bohra and Rikita Dodia’s show ‘S-9 Resort
Wear’ witnessed a lot of wows. They displayed a collection of their resort wear
and destination bridal wear, taking nature as the theme, and inspired from the
sea, sand, sky and trees in order to get exposure and recognition for their
brand. Ripci Bhatia, designer of ‘Amour Faith Hope’, also presented his
beautiful collection with a talent so immense that it drew you like a magnet. A
spectacular show was put up by Shree Sanghvi Creation, the audience going crazy
with every ramp walk. Saroj Mitra’s brand ‘Kraft Corridor’ displaying Lucknowi
traditions and cultures, was a royal portrayal of festive outfits. A brand
label ‘MapxencaRS’ by Riddhi and Siddhi Mapxencar, the twins put up a show
titled ‘Romance Alfresco’ that left the viewers’ mouths wide open with awe –
the resort looks, a display of sharp, feminine womenswear and edgy, relaxed
menswear. With the ‘ROPE’ exhibiting their show, Luxury resort presented
themselves to the bystanders. Asif Merchant and Ken Ferns in association with
Volkswagen displayed their colourful, vibrant, crazy and fun outfits. The
audience went crazy, taking pictures and videos of the models wearing the
outfits, doing justice to the idea and designs created by the wonderful
designers.

Of course, the IBFW
grand finale show was a grand occasion with models wearing the jewellery by
DIOSA, and fashion outfits designed by innovative designers like Arjun Khanna,
Dhruv Kapoor, Lecoanet Hemant, Pria Kataria Puri, Neeta Lulla and Varun Bahl.
Not failing to impress the large number of guests at IBFW, with the Grand
finale party, which will obviously be incomplete without music, dance and a lot
of fashion influence.
