The wait is finally almost over, and
after years on being on tenterhooks, fans can finally just breathe,
as DC’s strongest heroes go head to head in ‘Batman
V Superman: Dawn of Justice’. The
showdown is one that those who follow the comic book universes are
all too familiar with, and now Zack Snyder and the team behind Dawn
of Justice have brought it to life on the big screen.
In the process, the team has also
rather aggressively been working at promoting the film, through the
release of trailers and TV spots. The most recent of the latter also
featured some new footage. This one includes a shot of Batman which
was previously unseen, featuring Superman descending from the sky, as
Batman taunts him, saying “Here I am.”
One of the major reasons why the
release is also this anticipated is because of the manner in which
these two seem to relish going head-to-head, and it doesn’t seem to
merely be business for the two.
A lot of the focus,
as far as the film goes, is devoted to Ben Affleck’s interpretation
of Bruce Wayne. While he is pictured as older, and wiser than the
character when his predecessor, Christian Bale,
took up the mantle, he is also pictured as embittered by the fact
that despite causing more pain and death than Batman ever has,
Superman is still loved by civilians as a whole.
Fans will be split, love interests will
be frayed and families will certainly be divided when it comes to
this movie. However, it’s all worth it in the end.
