Konkani Bhasha Mandal’s 18th Shenai
Goembab Kathamal (Storytelling competition) saw Sanvi Gurav of Pope John High
School, Kepe, Kanya Naik of Dr K B Hedgewar High School, Bamboli and Vaidehi Jharapkar
of Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir turn out to be the champions in their
respective categories. The competition was held in the first to fourth, fifth
to seventh and eighth to tenth categories.
Ashok Karande of Wagle Primary School,
Mangueshi and Vidhi Bhandare of Little Penguin School, Baiguinim secured second
and third position in the first to fourth category whereas Sanvi Salelkar and
Aayan Bhat won the consolation prizes.
Ishaan Timble of GVM’s Utkarsh Vidhyamandir,
Ponda secured the second position and Omkar Lolayenkar of Mahila Nutan English
High School, Margao secured the third position in the fifth to seventh
category. Siddhata Aambekar and Sakshi Tulaskar won the consolation prizes.
Palia Agni of Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir,
Margao and Diya Bhagat of Shri Bhagwati High School, Pernem won the second and
third position in the eighth to tenth category, Sanskruti Sawant Desai and Anvi
Bene won the consolation prizes.
A total of 1001 students participated at
the centre level competition held in 16 centres across Goa that saw 115
students qualify for the district rounds. 48 students were than selected for
the final round in the three categories. The school level competition saw a
whooping 5000 students participate all over Goa.
