Goa has a
rich history and every day there are new developments in various
fields. Learning
something new can be great as it gives a better understanding about the state,
people and culture and traditions. And the motivation to get to know these
details is an all Goa quiz competition, where your knowledge is tested for a
big prize. ‘The Konn Kitem Kenna Goa Quiz 2017’, encourages school students and
the public to open their minds and learn more about Goa through the quiz.

The ‘Konn
Kitem Kenna Goa Quiz’ is open to all with spot registration and no entry fee.
The quiz will start with a preliminary written round of 25 questions, projected
on a screen. The questions will be Goa centric on sections like history,
sports, entertainment, politics, etc. After completing the qualifying round, the top
six will be selected for
the final round, which will have nearly 30 questions in the form of audio visual rounds.

Lynn
Barretto, founding member of Goan Shutterbugs and the quiz master for the event, says, “Last year, we received a good
response but as it was during the Ganesh break, the notice about the quiz
didn’t reach the students on time. This time, we have informed the schools
almost a month in advance so the students can be well prepared. The quiz also
attracts senior quizzers and the students who are in classes under
Std XII can have three
members in their team.”

Goan
Shutterbugs has nearly 75 official members, some of whom will be organising the entire event. An online quiz
was put up on their website where participants were asked to identify 26 personalities,
places, logos and structures pictured in the poster to win Goan Shutterbugs
merchandise. From the 180 entries received, only three participants answered correctly.

The first
prize winner of the quiz will receive a prize of Rs 10,000, second place
winner will win Rs 7,000 and third prize winner will be awarded Rs
5000. The first three consolation winners will receive Rs 1000 each.
