Let’s camp out at SulaFest!

If the alluring lush green landscapes won’t do the trick, the annual gourmet world music festival – SulaFest, will definitely make you head to Nasik this weekend

There’s plenty of action happening all
over. The Carnival is just around the corner, the Grape Escapade begins this
weekend and there are other little-big events happening in Goa that are enough
to keep the locals and tourists busy. But if you want to experience arguably
the best of all worlds, then consider crossing the state’s boundaries and
hopping in to the neighbouring state of Maharashtra, for the ninth edition of
one of India’s most awaited festivals – SulaFest. The annual event that
promises to be a weekend full of music, wine, food and much more will take
place at the gorgeous Sula Vineyards open-air Greek-style amphitheatre in
Nasik.

Camping

The event venue is on the outskirts of the
city at a very scenic location which makes it the perfect platform for camping.
Those attending SulaFest can choose to camp under the stars at the gorgeously
created tents by Tent City at the venue. Tent City is a city of tents along
with its own ‘chill zone’. All the tents come equipped with solar lighting and
feature everything from bedding to water heating. At the chill zone, one can
try their hand at archery, badminton, hula hooping, flying kites and much more.
The tents come with complimentary breakfast, drinking water and tea/coffee, and
for those in the mood for some barbeque, a few extra bucks should take care of
that too.

Food
and wine

Food and wine continue to form an important
aspect of the festival and wine enthusiasts can look forward to getting a
special tour and tastings at Tasting Room along with the rustic Tasting Cellar.
According to the organisers, apart from wines from the vineyards of Sula, wine
enthusiasts will also be able to enjoy a wide selection of libations from
around the world. As far as the food is concerned, the likes of Social, The
Bombay Food Truck, Olive Bar & Kitchen, Woodside Inn and many more will
serve up great food to go with the wine and drinks. Also, at the popular Soleil
by La Plage, Chef Morgan Rainforth has prepared a special menu with organic
produce from Sula’s very own farms, offering a sit-down gourmet dining
experience like no other.
