Living next door to Aussie

While one might not require a ‘reason’ to visit a place as scenic as New Zealand, it certainly helps that the nation is playing co-host to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

With the fourth-largest sporting event in the world
happening in New Zealand right now, there’s no better time for cricket fans to
visit. The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup is the perfect opportunity to experience
New Zealand. Auckland’s Eden Park will host a semi-final on March 24, 2015. If
you’re travelling to both Australia and New Zealand for the 2015 Cricket World
Cup, you only need to apply for one visa. Australia and New Zealand are working
to implement the new streamlined visa arrangement.

A country of stunning natural beauty that has everything
from jagged mountains, vast plains, to lakes and rivers as well as scenic
beaches, and active volcanic zones, New Zealand has long since (much like
Kerala) been known as ‘God’s own country’. Since the early 1800s, it has also
been termed the ‘Paradise of the Pacific’.

The sparsely populated islands are easily accessible, with
well-developed transport networks and airports throughout the country and
state-of-the-art-highways. New Zealand uses its natural appeal to highlight its
adventurous side. Known as the original home of jet-boating, adventures through
shallow gorges and bungee jumping are found in abundance here.

Māori culture still plays a huge role in the daily life of
the people and the government and corporate sector offer plenty of
opportunities for visitors to experience the history as well as modern forms of
Māori life.

However, at this juncture, it is cricket that is king. With
Auckland, Hamilton, Napier and Wellington in the North Island and Nelson,
Christchurch and Dunedin in the South Island joining seven Australian cities to
jointly host the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, there is no better time to be in
this quaint little part of the world.
