The Mahindra Open Drive may be a brand-new music festival to hit the beautiful shores of
Goa, but at its heart is longstanding in every way.
This festival is all heart, featuring
musicians from around the globe, including Chico and the Gypsies, led by Chico,
the founder of the famous Gypsy Kings, playing all their greatest hits, so get
ready with your Salsa Latino moves Goa! There are no DJ’s playing here, just
real musicians with their songs and stories. HarounaSamake, brings in some of
Mali’s finest musicians to herald in world music onto our stage. The sound and
soul in their music fits perfectly into the groove of Goa. Brooklyn Funk
Essentials, as the name suggest is a big band, all out funk sound. Their music
is all about dance, transportingthe Jazz/funk sounds of afterhours Brooklyn to
Goa. Holding high the Indian flag, is Nikhil Dsouza and Raghu Dixit. Nikhil is
a singer songwriter who has gained recognition world over. Recently signed by a
big international label, he brings his sensual music to Panjim. Ragu Dixit, who
needs no introduction is probably one of India’s greatest independent
entertainers. This lungi clad gentleman brings our own Indian folk music alive,
pumped up with big rhythm, culture cords, and a huge smile.
To gain access to the music, one has to
show some heart. Instead of tickets, we have a list of NGOs, approved by United
Way Mumbai, who are doing some fantastic work in the community. They work to
protect the Environment, improve healthcare, provide Education to the
underprivileged and much more. You need to support your favourite cause to
attend the festival, knowing fully well that this money will be used to make
someone’s life a little better. Your love for live music will go a long way in
improving the life of so many. You could be educating a little girl, helping a
little boy with his cancer treatment, planting trees, building homes, or
helping the aged, all by enjoying the festival. The full amount you donate goes
towards the causes, and no part of it to the festival. This is your chance to
create happiness in the world while being happy yourself. The amount is a
simple 1000/- per day or 1500 for two days and is available on insider.in

The festival will also have some of the best cuisines in Goa,
spoiling you for choice. From international menus to traditional Goan
gastronomies, we have it all. With a super big bar, the service will be fast
and smooth. Look out for some curated cocktails especially curated for the
weekend.
Attached to the event is also an adventurousdrive out from major
cities in India, and hence the name- Mahindra Open Drive. People from various
cities will be drive down to the festival in order to raise money for their
favourite charity. Our confidence is that everyone who will be at the festival,
is someone who believes in reaching out and spreading some happiness in the
community. This is what we call the rising tribe. A group of people who stand
for all that is good, and who are willing to encourage others to do the same.
Conceived by the cultural outreach at the Mahindra Group, these
2 days offers an opportunity to celebrate life, summoning positive emotions of
