DJ Natsia Zoloto is one of the most
striking representatives of the Ukraine’s night clubs culture who has performed
in 30 countries around the world. Natsia Zoloto won the 4th Place in the World
Top Girls DJ Festival 2012 that was held in Toulouse, France and is keeping up
her name in the music scene by constantly improvising.
She performed at the India Beach Fashion Week (IBFW) launch
Style Party that was held yesterday and is on an India tour making the last
stop that the New Year’s Eve party in Pune. “This is the fifth time I am
visiting India and the third time that I have been to Goa. The first time I
performed at the colourful celebration of carnival. I love the place for its
hospitality, the atmosphere and most importantly, the people are great. I was
so emotional when I came to Goa the first time. I was inspired by the ocean and
the palm trees that I dedicated my debut track to Goa,” says Natsia who has
been a Deejay for the past six years and a sound producer for the past two
years.
“I have been continuously touring. The longest tour I had
lasted 29 days, visiting the cities of China and travelling to 30 countries is
not a holiday. Whenever I am free while travelling, I have my laptop and the
best technology to work with. As soon as I hear a beat, I open the program in
seconds and I ensure the track is worked on,” says Natsia, who has released her
top 10 remixes in an hour set album annually. “The next album I am working on
is titled ‘Fly with Me’,” adds Natsia. She was the official DJ of the Euro Cup
2012. Her mixes and party breaks are often broadcasted on the radios of
Ukraine, Russia and Europe.
For this India 2014 tour, Natsia has been to Mumbai,
Hyderabad, Guwahati and Jorhat besides Goa and Pune. “Music is the same
everywhere in the world. I visited clubs in Ukraine and I found that the
deejays were putting their head down and concentrating on music instead of
connecting emotionally with the audience. I wanted to do more for the people
and so I added different elements to my shows like lights and wings.”
She further added, “I noticed that the clubs in Assam have a
majority of boys and just a few girls whereas in Ukraine, there will be more
girls than boys.” Natsia enjoys all genres of music including western classical
and feels as she is new as a sound producer, it will take time for
collaborations with established artists.
India Beach Fashion Week is Asia’s Largest Beach-Resort
fashion property. Besides Natsia, the other deejays in attendance included
Ankytrix, Clement, Kohra, Akshit Shetty, Beatstatic and Willy.
