SagarHarijan, a
naval cadet from M.E.S College of Arts and Commerce, Zuarinagar-Vasco, successfully completed a
one-month long course in mountaineering at the Nehru Institute of
Mountaineering (NIM), Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, India. Cadet SagarHarijan was
the soleNaval Cadet at the All Indialevel to participate in this course. There
were a total of ninety-three individuals from across the IndianArmy, Navy,Air
Force, and police, along with NCC cadets, who participated in this training.
Cadet
SagarHarijanhad to undergo a rigorous selection procedurefor this course
initially, which required a superior level of fitness and maturity. He was ably
guided and assisted by Sub-Lieutenant Rajesh V. Shetgaokar,from MES College of
Arts and Commerce, during the process. He said that he got the chance to
exercise self-reliance, leadership, a spirit of adventure and time management.
Principal Dr. R.B Patil and Vice Principal Dr. RekhaGaonkaralong with the
teaching staff and students from MES College congratulated Cadet SagarHarijan
for this achievement.
