Temperatures will soar. But flight prices are already soaring. The most booked and
travelled by airline, Jet Airways has suspended its operations lately; it was
also one of the oldest airlines till date.
However due to the current crisis which seems to have dismayed
many, apparently, the other airlines have significantly increased their prices
and tickets. “It’s become a situation of advantage,” says Shabaaz Muzawar, a
photographer who often travels across states. He explains that due to the Jet
Airways crisis the other flights air fares have gone high because of fewer
seats available in the market now and have taken a good advantage of this
situation.
The
increase in rates has led to some upset customers. Clarelence Fernandes, an
event manager who has a brief idea on the increase of rates explains his point
of view, “They increase the rates because they track our cookies of frequently
visited customers to their site, whether it’s in a travel agency or online
booking. Besides they also select prices based on the season and trends, if you
look at the previous week the rates were extremely high due to the Easter
weekend season and we know a lot of people travel at that time.”
