Organic touch to the festival of colours

How are people celebrating Holi this year, will everyone use chemical colours and go back to the boisterous or will they respect nature by using organic colours

Celebrating Holi is must, it’s a ritual. Not just a ritual, Festivals are therapy for mind, body and soul, it makes you forget your worries, burdens and prepares you for accepting new challenges, and yes of course will be celebrating with the organic colours, not only just colours, but I try to use almost everything which is organic.

This Holi I plan to spend the day chilling with my friends. No color. It’s definitely a lot mellower than before but now that’s the new normal.

I will definitely be celebrating Holi, but generally we avoid all commercial parties and just do a picnic by the beach or a lake/ river with a few close friends. So rarely use colour or anything, but yes if we were going to, then would definitely be organic colours.

Events Consultant, Guirim

Yes, I will be celebrating Holi. A dry one given the current conditions with organic colours instead that can be easily washed off. Social distancing is imperative as studies of a fourth wave are nearing the horizon. Having said that, safety precarious taken, it’s going to be fun filled celebration for sure. A humble request, Please don’t colour ones pets and animals around. The consequences to their skin and fur if not washed properly are toxic and uncalled for. Have a fabulous Holi.

Be safe.”

I will use organic colours and it will be same like last year when two or three families in the area will come together and play and yes all of us will use organic colours only.

– Vaishali Chauhan, Social Entrepreneur, Tonca

I’ve never celebrated Holi and this year I have exams going on and can’t. But the excitement is in the air and posters for Holi parties have been doing the rounds. I think most celebrations will be the same as pre Covid era as we’ve pretty much made that shift already. I do hope that people use organic colours and spare the animals the festivities
