The excise license has increased for the hotels and so has the tourism
license. They will be cancelled if they are not renewed. This government is
busy trying to teach everyone a lesson.

As a New Year resolution, I have decided to perform for as many
music shows as possible. This will in turn, help me gain experience, learn from
my mistakes, follow my passion and become independent.
Daksh P Raikar – Student, Margao
I have not decided about my new year’s resolution till now. It
is really difficult to have any expectations right now because of the rising
third wave. I don’t want to sit with guilt that I could not even work on one
specific thing that I decided for the year.
Shefali Khan – Employee, Vasco
As a new year’s resolution, I want to prepare a new dish. I want
to experiment with every possible vegetable or even a mixture of them to come
up with a unique dish.

As a new year resolution, I want to build a dental hospital of
mine in Goa. I wish to see less patients coming to hospital and thus praying
for everyone’s good health.
Dr. Syed Moufez, BDS Vasco
My New Year resolution is to go on a long bike trip to Ladakh
with my friends. I want to explore the maximum place that comes my way and make
a memory that can’t be forgotten throughout my life.
Hemanth Naik, a retailer from Margao
My New Year resolution is to drive as much as possible. I have a
loan and I want to end the burden of that this year. I really hope that the
tourists come to Goa this year, because that is the main source of income for
us.
Sami Shaikh – Driver, Panjim
The pandemic like no other time has brought us up close with the
idea of our mortality, and loss of close ones. Disregarding how things change
for better or worse, my resolution is to spend more time with friends,
listening, sharing – and pursuing things out of joy and no other purpose. Life
is precious, life is short.
