Rock and Roll in Asian Flavours!

The aroma of Asian food is a huge turn on for those who love the cuisine and all during the lockdown period, this was something we were missing badly. But not anymore, Wok and Roll just came to the rescue and their home deliveries are such a relief.

They have taken a lot of care in curating their menu for home deliveries especially keeping in mind the hygiene of the food and also the fact that not all dishes work well on the packing concept and thus they gave up on some of the dishes that are served best at the restaurant.

With sanitization as a mandate, they are taking all the necessary precautions in their kitchen as well, from the use of masks, gloves to maintaining social distancing; their staff is ensuring full safety. The deliveries are contact less and they also promoting online payments.

Wok and Roll also used the initial lockdown period to give their kitchen garden a new lease of life. Where earlier the kitchen garden was merely used for herbs, it has now turned into a full-fledged source of quite a few vegetables that they use in the kitchen. One of their other initiative that is really commendable is the use of bio gas.

They convert all the food waste into biogas, which in turn is used for cooking all the food for the staff, so at Wok N Roll one can really see a organic cycle from growing their own veggies to using the food waste to generate gas. Coming to food, we ordered, Chicken Dimsums and Thai Garlic Pepper Prawns for starters. The dimsums maintained their juiciness and were really delicious. The best way to enjoy them is to eat them as soon as they come. The prawns too were very well made. Perfectly cooked and tossed in some veggies, the flavors of both pepper and garlic were perfectly balanced and complimented each other. For the mains, Chicken Thai Curry Green with Sticky Rice, Burnt Garlic Veg Fried Rice, Chili Basil Veg Noodles and Srilankan Devil Chicken made for our choices.

The Srilankan Devil Chicken from the stir-fry menu was the highlight of the evening, simply loved the taste of it and would consider it as a dish that should not be missed. The Thai curry on the other hand had subtle flavors and tasted perfect with the sticky rice. The burnt garlic fried rice and chili basil noodles are like complete meals in themselves and do not require any other accompaniment. These both dishes burst out flavors that are truly Asian and anyone will simply fall in love with.

Even with limited menu, they offer great choices for both veg and non-veg and within non-veg they have a good variety of dishes in chicken and sea-food including, prawns, fish and crabs as well. The packing was perfectly sealed and also apt for the heat and eat purpose. The containers could easily be used in microwave to heat. Another thing that we loved about Wok n Roll is the fact that they haven’t increased their prices and are being absolutely sensitive about the current times. So if you are craving for delicious Asian food, you know where to order. They are currently serving in areas in and around Candolim,Betim etc. but soon expanding to Porvorim and other places as well.
