On the
Re-Organisation Day of Pilar Society, the
Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School, Curchorem, installed and inaugurated
their ‘Students Council, NSS and Nature Club (affiliated with World Wind Fund
for Nature) for the academic year 2018-19 in the school premises. Speaking on
the occasion as a Chief Guest, the ex-student and Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) at
Maina-Curtorim Veronica Coutinho urged the students to maintain discipline and
work hard with seriousness to climb the ladder of success in whatever line they
have chooses to make their bright career.
Congratulating the
Pilar Society on the occasion of Re- Organisation Day, Coutinho said that Pilar
fathers are doing yeomen services in the field of education particularly in the
mission areas of our country. She also administered the oath of office to the
members of the units and later the respective leaders explained the aims and
objectives of their units.
Earlier, the YRC, NSS
and Red Ribbon Club (RRC) units of the HSSC were installed and inaugurated at
the hands of Retired Teacher Margaret Mascarenhas.
Meanwhile on Tuesday
Guardian Angel High School conducted their XXIII installation ceremony of
Junior Red Cross (JRC) unit at the hands of their ex-student as Chief Guest
Jesmi Fernandes in the presence of Headmaster Fr. Jerry Vaz and Assistant
Headmistress Nutan Rege.
Altogether
190 students of Std VIII were administered the oath as members of the unit and
Abigail Mascarenhas elected as chairperson and Rahul Raiker and Ansh Dessai
elected as secretary and treasurer respectively.
