Herald Café, for the first time ever, is
organising a pool party to celebrate the spirit of Sao Joao! Sao Joao Fiesta
1.0 will take place this Wednesday, June 24, 2015. To keep the mercury at its
peak on the party meter, an assortment of programmes in music, dance and
fashion will be presented at the party venue – at Woodbourne Country Club in
Nuvem.
A Fashion Show by Media Waves, displaying
western cocktail and resort wear is one of the highlights of the evening. Divya
Thasveer, Managing Director, Media Waves, says, “After the success of our
signature Fashion Fuzion Nites, the response from designers, models and various
show organisers was amazing. In the past, we have been a part of Herald’s Goa
Food and Music festival. This time around, at Sao Joao Fiesta by Herald Café,
we are presenting three designers – Farhin Shaikh, Manisha Kenkre Salkar and
Harold Andrade who will be displaying their collections of beautiful outfits in
Western, Cocktail and Resort Wear.”

Siddhant Gadekar Dance Academy created
history by winning Gold at the Indian Hip Hop Dance Championship (junior
division) in Mumbai, recently. The crew is now gearing up to represent India at
the World Hip Hop Dance Championship 2015 in California, USA. But before it
does that, the dance group, which is India’s first junior dance crew to
represent India at the international level, will be performing a mesmerising
act of Aqua Zumba at the venue. Siddhant Gadekar, Founder of the academy, says,
“Our Aqua Zumba dance performance will be something that will be etched in the
memories of the audience for a long time. We promise to spread our infectious
energy and keep the audience on their feet.”
The entry to the party is by invitation
only. One of Goa’s biggest and most sought after bands, Alcatrazz, will be
performing at the venue and bringing in some live music magic to the stage. DJs
Skeletron, Rahid Seffe, Daulat, Stedran and Lester will keep the DJ console
busy by spinning their favourite EDM tracks and keeping the party vibe alive.
To give them company, DJ Roland will be flying in all the way from Dubai to
further raise the madness. The event will be hosted by Celbert Dias, Marlene
Lobo and Roy Fernandes and will also see Karaoke by Roman Vaz. The party begins
at 11.30 am and will go on till 10 pm. Come join us to celebrate Sao Joao the
