St Xavier’s College, Mapusa hosts X’plorateur 2025

The Department of BBA (Travel & Tourism) of St Xavier’s College, Mapusa, successfully hosted its two-day national-level event ‘X’plorateur 2025’, marking World Tourism Day.

Guided by the UNWTO theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation” and rooted in the vision “A Regenerative Vision for Goa,” the event encouraged students to innovate in tourism while sustaining and restoring Goa’s unique culture and environment.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by college dignitaries and Chief Guest Pifran Fernandes, Owner of Tree House Goa. Highlights of the inaugural programme included cultural performances, a magazine launch, and motivational addresses on the importance of regenerative tourism.

Across the two days, participants engaged in diverse rounds such as quizzes, debates, eco-painting, stress challenges, business pitches, case studies, and a fashion show themed on regenerative tourism. Teams from Goa and Karnataka showcased creativity, strategy, and eco-conscious innovation.

The Overall Champions were Team Desert Dynamos from KLE College of Business Administration, Hubli, Karnataka, while Team Moonlight Mavericks from Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College of Commerce & Economics, Goa, emerged as Runners-up.
