Goan lovers of rock have a treat in store for them this weekend! European Deep Purple
tribute band Still Crazy is in town and will be performing at the Classic Rock
concert at Farm House, Benaulim on Friday, May 4, 2018, followed by a second
big appearance at Extra Bass Summer Beach Show 4.0 at Velsao Beach on Sunday,
May 6.

Since the time this group of rock-loving
childhood friends first got together in the ‘90s, Still Crazy, which tags
itself as ‘Pure Rock Attitude and Adrenaline’, has gained a steady fan
following in Europe with their covers of Deep Purple, the legendary English
rock band. With vocals by Adrian Corlaciu, Marius Sararu and Mihai Marcoci on
lead guitar, Rareş Nistor on bass, Radu Stănică on keyboard and Tinel Mureşan
on the drums, the band has opened for a number of major rock concerts in
Romania and has played gigs at high-profile parties and clubs in Germany and
Bulgaria.

Besides
Deep Purple covers, the band also covers the music of Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake,
Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Billy Idol and more. “Of course we are aware that in 2018, the
cover bands are playing Coldplay, Kings of Leon or Green Day, but for us, rock
is only heavy metal!” says the band. “We would prefer to give up music than to
play something that does not represent us. So when people stop coming to clubs
or pubs for heavy rock concerts, because the distortion of the guitar is too
loud or the drums are too noisy, we will stop being a rock band. Until then, we
are and always will be Still Crazy!”

The
concert at Farm House, Benaulim, will also feature popular Goan rock band Bad
Blood in their first gig appearance since the recent release of their debut
original album ‘Tomorrow’s Yesterday’. Led by guitarist Nixon Soares, with
vocalist Balsio Pinto, drummer Aurvile Rodrigues, bassist Anthony Fernz,
keyboardist Frazer Pacheco, and Prathamesh Chari on the tabla, the band will
perform hits from their new album, including ‘Should I?’, ‘Angel’, ‘Fight your
Fears’, and ‘Tomorrow’s Yesterday’, the music video of which was aired on VH1,
9XO, and Pepsi MTV Indies, making them the first Goan rock band to make it to
national TV.

The
concert on May 4 is set to kick off at 7:30 pm, for an exciting night of live
rock music
