(Fanuel D’Cruz) and Eve (Jane Colaco) enjoy the beautiful creation of God. But
the devil steps in in the form of a snake and tempts Eve. Eve in return puts
Adam into temptation. And after eating the forbidden fruit and committing sin,
the couple realizes that they are naked and run away from God.
Jose (Normandez), a contractor by
profession, prays at the foot of a Cross seeking his wife Mary (Mita)’s safe
delivery. He has faith that his prayers will go unanswered.
At the hospital Jose is all tensed. The
gynaecologist (Seby) tells him that as the pregnancy is after 12 years, the
case is complicated and the survival of either the mother or child is possible.
The devil (Fr Michael) tempts Seby and
convinces him that if the mother survives, then he can go in for another child.
Seby is convinced, but Mary does not wish to move an inch. She wishes that her
child be saved from death.
Finally, mother and child are saved from
the clutches of death. The new-born is named Jesus. As the child grows, the
father educates him with the hope that he will carry forward his business.
Meanwhile, Shenaya (Tracy) is in love with
Jesus, but when Jesus reveals his plans of joining priesthood, she is dejected.
As a priest, what are the trials and
tribulations Jesus faces? Will he be able to cope up with rejection and
humiliation from his flock? What are the allegations levied upon him?
‘Hanv Tuzo. Tum
Konnancho?’ is a Lenten show with a powerful message during the season of
grace. It also invites the audience to fight against abortion and encourage
children towards religious life. There are fine acts put up by various artistes
on stage, including thought-provoking Biblical scenes and Cruz Mascarenhas
plays the role of Jesus confidently.
Comedian Kenny and
Agnelo have handled the comic acts as grave digger and servant and the duo make
a fine combination
on stage.
Songs wrapped around the show include
solos, duos, duet, quartets and choral. But each of them carries a message for
reflection. The band, which includes two additional violinists, has provided
good music throughout the show.
After a couple of shows before the pandemic,
post-Covid ‘Hanv Tuzo. Tum Konnancho?’ celebrated its golden jubilee show at
Assolna church recently.
