Today is the last day to pay your electricity bill and you have no
time and no means of transport to make it to the bank. Here, taskboys.com comes in handy. With a nominal fee of just Rs
50 for simple deliveries, they will come to your home, take the bill, get it paid and deliver the receipt to you.
The recently launched website is conceptualised by Fabcoders and is headed by team members Remmie Azavedo, Marlon
Pereira, Edsel Dias, Advait Naik and Akash Amoncar, all from Panjim. All you have to do is go to the website, fill in the details of the task
and phone number. You will immediately receive a call to verify the task, which will then be executed. “We
realised that there are small tasks that are difficult to execute, sometimes due to unavailability of time or other reasons, hence
we launched the website that assists with 20 tasks including pickup and delivery. Currently, we are operating from
Panjim, Mapusa, Porvorim and Margao,”says Remmie Azavedo, a computer engineer who returned home from Norway
after 12 years of service.Remmie and his team at Fabcoders are also running a ticket booking website. “So far, we have
not advertised about the website except on Facebook and by word of mouth but we get
around 12-15 tasks in day around Goa.
One interesting task was when a client was stranded after losing his
bike keys. We went with a key maker to him and
got the key made so he could continue on his journey,” says Remmie, as
taskboys.com also delivers petrol.
They have also launched an app, Taskboys, to make it easier for android
users to contact them. “For senior
citizens, we provide tasks like Medicine Delivery and Senior Citizen
Assistance besides other delivery services.
Since many of them might not be able to reach us using the internet, we
will be passing on flyers with our phone
number,” adds Remmie.
The current system of payment is Cash on Delivery but the website will
soon be starting a Net Banking portal
for overseas clients. “We receive clients from Europe and Canada who
want flowers or cakes delivered in Goa
and would like to pay for it from there. It will be more convenient for
them.” The website is also open to advance bookings and
long-term bookings. “We have a client who wants to be picked from his
hotel room this Saturday and dropped to a
club, with a scheduled return trip once the party ends. He doesn’t want
to risk driving back to his room or have the
hassle of finding a driver late in the night. Another client has asked
for daily delivery of his tiffin to his office, to save his
wife the trouble of hand delivering his home cooked meal,” informs
Remmie. Remmie adds that they have worked out special deals with certain
regular clients who use their services for multiple tasks; they have also
formed partnerships with
various businesses. Taskboys sure has all bases covered in adding convenience
