The “Noble” young talent is taking many international strides

Asila Jaques has been mentioned in the Noble Book of World Records this year for being multi talented. This is just one of many awards she has won nationally and internationally in the past one year. She spoke about her experience and her plans

She is a student in the ninth standard and has achieved much in this Covid period. It has been a time of learning and achievement for Asila Jaques. In the time of lockdown, she has achieved many awards and prizes at state, national, and international level.

Asila said “I have been included in the Noble Book of world records for participating in multi events and been mentioned for being multi talented this year. Last year I won the International Peace Matrix 2020 (poster making). Recently I won the Kala Gaurav art excellence award, organised at the national level.”

Asila is a product of her times. All these achievements are due to contests conducted online but her talent and IQ shines right through. Asila says her elder sister and her parents have been her biggest motivator. She said “My mom and dad are the first pillars of my success, they always encouraged me to give my best in everything I do. They helped me to develop my skills and bought out the best in me. I was always inspired by my parents, family members and teachers and this was what led me to success. I always worked hard to achieve my goals. I will admit I was surprised when I made my 1st attempt at the international level and won”. She has also been appointed as an international peace ambassador. She started winning prizes when she was 13.And in just within 1 year of covid 19 pandemic I have achieved many awards and prizes at state, national, and international level”.

Yesterday as this interview was being conducted she said she was the winner of a national level Independence Day painting contest. She has also been awarded a special prize for BEST TALENTED KID 2K21 CONTEST organised at national level for poem writing.

The resident of Batim, Tiswadi said she was interested in learning and participating in contests and was not sure what her larger goals were in life as yet. She said she wanted to do something that would make India feel proud.

She is one of the large number of young Indians who are determined to carve out their identity who move and adapt to the changing times. When asked what washer favourite subject she said she liked them all. And importantly though the lectures were in online mode they are very interesting, adventurous and Interactive too which helped her get a better understanding. A child of her time she certainly is.
