Tsumyoki wins international MTV award

Goa’s very own Tsumyoki has won the Indian
artist award at the MTV EMA awards which was announced on November 5. The live
event which was cancelled due to the problems in Gaza. The organisers called
and informed Tsumyoki. He said it was emotional experience and it was undoubtedly
the biggest award he has ever won.

He won the awards for the song ‘It’s
Aight’. It is a song that points out that when nothing is going all right and
life is crashing down, all you can say is It’s Aight. Tsumyoki says, “It’s an
indescribable feeling. And a sign that my hard work is paying off. My mother
started crying and the fact, that I was able to make her so proud of me will be
one of my greatest achievements. Also what an effort from the fellow Goans who
have helped me win this. Seeing everyone come together brought tears to my
eyes.”

Music runs in the family. When asked what
motivates him as a musician, he says he really did not know. “When I wake up
every day, I feel I am living a wonderful life with an amazing job. It is all a
very beautiful process. It is a life I live to the absolute fullest and so
there is, no shortage of motivation,” he says.

His
hits in the recent past include ‘Pink Blue’, ‘On my Way’, ‘It’s Aight’ and
‘Sunlight’.
