The story of the underdog has been
recounted time and again. However, this season of the English Premier
League may prove to be a thrilling example of such an achievement for
years to come, thanks to the heroics of Leicester City FC. At the end
of the 2014-2015 season the club finished firmly in the 14th
spot, having only just avoided relegation. At this point in time
however, one year later, with just 12 games left to be played this
season, they sit at the top of the table, two points clear of
Tottenham Hotspur in second and Arsenal in third. For a team to have
achieved all that they have, without spending massive amounts of
money, has shocked and awed the world.
Fans of other teams share their
views with Café, sharing how they would feel if Leicester City were
to pip their team to the title:
Leicester City actually is a very good
team. A chance like this may not come again for them. In an era where
spending money counts for everything, they have given hope to many.
As far as Liverpool is concerned, we’re far off from being in the top
four, forget the title race. It would certainly be a moment of magic,
if Leicester pulls it off.

Leicester City is on a dream run, and
they have actually proven themselves this year and are showing the
world that they deserve this title. The way they have played this
season is phenomenal; beating some of the big teams in the league. I
would love to see Leicester win it, as they have clearly been the
better team this season. If they win, this it might just be a start
of a new era in the Premier League.

Leicester’s story this season has
been like a fairy tale. It’s an inspiration to each one of us.
Credit goes to their manager, Claudio Ranieri who has developed the
mentality and fighting spirit in players. This proves that football
is not all about money, but passion. Chelsea’s season is
almost over, and I would love to see Leicester win the league, rather
than any of our rivals.

Being an Arsenal fan, I cannot say I
want Leicester to win the league, given that this has been our
best chance to win it in 12 years. But Leicester has been
incredibly entertaining and consistent throughout the season.
Their winning the title would prove that money isn’t everything in
the footballing world. I would rather have Leicester win it than
Tottenham or Manchester City.
