Vote went down on February 4

With the Goa Assembly Elections having been held yesterday, Café caught up with a few young Goans and asked them what casting their vote meant to them

February 4, 2017 marked a decisive day for many.
Many a Goemkar stepped out of his/her house with
the solitary goal of redefining the future of the state
as they knew it. For many, it was perhaps a case of a
step back; a step back in time when Goa was more
utopian. The vote was theirs, as was the choice
made regarding it.
While the polling for the 40-member Legislative
Assembly began at seven in the morning and
closed at five in the evening, much of Goa had
decided what their vote meant, well in advance.
Across a total of 1,642 polling booths, and 251
candidates, Goa made up its mind and cast its vote;
and Café asked a few younger voters exactly what
this process meant to them.
