Welcome to LaLaLand

Two days of magic and magnificence is what one can expect at LaLaLand. After the successful first edition of LaLaLand, you can expect the two-circus to fill your evenings with magic and happiness this Dussehra, on October 19 and 20, 2018

 Here’s a family
friendly festival that brings a unique
addition to the Goan festival scene with artistes flocking in
from all over the country and the world to bring stunning and impressive
performances. The LaLaLand festival will be set in the beautiful lush garden of
an old Portuguese mansion in Nagoa, North Goa, surprisingly centrally located
not far from the busy nightlife of Calangute. Acts will include acrobatic and
spectacular performances in the garden and a wide variety of music on the main
stage plus intimate and thought provoking interactions like mime, cabaret,
theatre, spoken word and more.

Expect a wide variety
of music, from Fado by Nadia Rebello and Classical Karnatic (on the saxophone!)
by Madhav Haridas and Mayank Bedekar to the number one female beatboxer of
India, Manasi Nene. Tritha and band will treat the crowd, from just simply
beautiful to electric music. The young Goan talents of Uncut Diamonds will
bring the Goan feel to the festival, with a mix of Konkani and folk songs, jazz
and pop.

“Here’s your
opportunity to feel the silent rave of the Silent Disco and dance your heart
out while listening to your favourite jam.Our live DJs will be offering a
choice of commercial, jazzy and drum and base, no strings attached. And though
it looks super weird to others seeing people dance to music that they cannot
hear, this is what makes the silent disco so cool!,” says Noreen van Holstine,
on behalf of the organisers.

The games corner will
have games that are not just for kids. The flea market stalls will sell locally
sourced, upcycled and sustainable products. The public can even get a shave and
massage at the pop up of the Chop Shop barber shop. The foodstalls will be
selling finger-licking food and there will be a well stocked bar.

“Our aim is to be a
festival for everyone and every wallet. And at LaLaLand, sustainability is our
norm. LaLaLand is aiming to be a 100% eco-friendly festival by not allowing
single use plastic, avoiding the use of non-recyclable materials like flex, and
minimising our carbon footprint where possible,” adds Noreen.

This year, they will
also have special LaLaLand workshops during the festival, where one could learn
to balance the slackline with the number one performer of the country, Samar
Farooqi;there’ll also be a chance for the crowd to try out skateboarding with
SkatelifeGoa or learn to mime with the super talented Drupad Gaonkar.

“So come and linger
in the LaLaLand garden, chat with friends, eat, drink and enjoy the
performances at this second edition of LaLaLand,” states Noreen.
