Goa is slowly turning into a hub for fashion with the multitude of fashion stores opening across
the state and the high profile fashion weeks that are taking place here,
attracting the best talent and showstoppers of the country.

Entertainments will host its third edition this year at Taj Vivanta, Panjim
from March 2 to 4, 2018. The three-day fashion extravaganza will have about 18
celebrity designers like Mohan Gowda, Naveen Pradeep, Madhu Verma as well as
Goan designers such as Philu Martins, Anushka Shaikh, Puja Mapxekar and other
up and coming talent.

Entertainments was created with a vision to “Redefine the future of fashion and
integrate India into the global fashion world.”

William Xavier, Chief Executive Officer of IFW Goa, say, “After
a successful start and two editions of IFW under our belt, which evoked a great
response from fashion designers, we are excited to host the 3rd edition of IFW
2018. It will certainly be bigger and better with some well-known designers
showcasing their Summer Collections. Over 45 models including celebrities will
be walking the ramp at the event.”

The major attraction of this event will be celebrities who will
participate as showstoppers, like Bollywood celebrities Rakhi Sawant, Rahee
Khan, Mahek Sharma, Misti Mukherjee, Rahul Kapoor and others from regional film
industries such as the Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil.

The event this year will host a show that supports the cause of
‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and one fashion show will be dedicated to this noble
cause. “IFW Goa supports these programmes very seriously,” adds William.

He further points out that there will also be the participation
of colleges from across India and Goa. Fashion institutes such as Vastra
Designing- Pune, DIDT from Nashik, Goa Polytechnic College will also be
showcasing their collection. He also called on Goans to participate in the
event as there would be opportunities such as auditions for film and magazine
shoots besides various events organised during the three days.

Considered to be an opulent and high profile fashion week, this
event gives one access to the industry, to experience the best of India and
international fashion, including a showcase of designer and trend catwalks
shows, designer shopping and industry talks. It leads the fashion industry
through creative influence and is strategically repositioning Indian fashion in
the global fashion economy.

The-3-day event, commencing at 10am on each day, will have
various activities like master class, seminar, talk show, audition for beauty
pageant and workshops. The designers’ fashion shows will begin from 6pm
onwards.The major attraction will be the pop up shopping gallery for lifestyle
fashionable products from 10 pm to 11:30pm.

The organisers of IFW GOA season 3 are aiming for it to become
the most aspired destination for India’s top designers, couture lovers,
influential individuals, celebrities, socialites and legacy brands.

“The idea behind this was to create a platform for upcoming and
established designers and it will be a great market for the fashionable
consumers,” adds William.

The
show also aims at encouraging a healthy relationship among the designers and
models, giving them innovative and inventive ideas. Partnering with health
programs and social causes, the reach of this extravaganza is aimed to go
beyond fashion.
