We live in a terrifying world too often we feel small and powerless we always have to choose, I can search for the negative in everything I hear and see. It is true. Life is not a cabinet of neatly ordered boxes. Its richness is enjoyed by those who confidently walk, who go on believing to continue to be alive to the possibilities offered and hold life together for all. The quality of heart we bring to life is what matters.
It is an uncounted blessing to come to terms with life that does not automatically provide what we want. The best blessing, the only real blessings are those seeded with the awareness of life and its possibilities. Blessings are related to hope and promise. We need people to help us, separate the weeds from the wheat of our lives , Pope Francis is one of them who stands by people who are considered as left outs and invites us to see them as part of us with gifts to offer. Some writers through their writings, help us to see sense in some of the things we know are going wrong. I like to quote here something very fitting to their spirit of concerns. “What I worry about is that when problems are not addressed, people will not know who is responsible” said David Souter.
We bless people when we give them something of ourselves that we will never ask them to give back by believing in them by standing by them specially when they are in need of encouragement as the sun coaxes open the Petals of the daisy on a spring morning so do love and encouragement of friends opens the goodness in us.
Every season is a time to utter a prayer of thanks for people who keep on loving, giving and smiling without whom we would have surrendered to the dark night of history a long time ago. Their lives reflect understanding and joy.
The planet desperately needs more peace makers, helpers, healers, restorers , story tellers and lovers of all kinds, of the earth of children, trees, water and God and that we have people we can count on is a blessing.
We are called to live joyful passionate lives, to give, and be around. The joy of giving is in giving. Find a way to be useful in everything and with everybody and leave it at that, being useful is a purpose in itself.
We give life however when we live truthfully, with well thought out convictions and good to remember life is not what happens to us it is what we do with what happens to us. The magic lies in the ability to see spring in everything. Life is worth living, when lived well. So dear readers, may God journey with you, enjoy the journey, called life.
