Though we do well in greater run for ourselves individually but our initial chase is to grab medical seat or enter IITs. If not these then choices associated with these particular prospects.
Indian parents are so obsessed with this particular profession that as soon as they have a child they wrap a blindfold to all other varieties and probable options available. They want to do everything to grab a bite and have taste of belonging to the community that they couldn’t manage to get hold of. Put aside their set of excuses as to why but that isn’t a reason to force the child to be what one couldn’t.
Equivalent opportunities stand for everybody out there in diverse categories for the once who want to hear to the calling in their life and not who want to fit in the acclaimed profession. Competition is healthy but nobody will really survive if they chase mechanically and egotistically towards the scarce. Especially if they do not own the necessary potential to get through and ruin their present with false hope for a miracle.
We need not be amongst the bunch and match with the rest. We humans have our own set of limitations and positives which we need to figure out. Hopping of toes to gain what our competitors have will never give us successful result.
The current generation is way more advanced and well equipped and hence need to be directed towards the correct route and not be pushed on the predefined path. We need to give them a chance to figure out what they wish to pursue, what their liking is, figure out if they wish to invest on academics or have other interests. That doesn’t mean that education got to be completely erased from their life.
Getting engineering degree and then scrutinising through management colleges in order to gain degree from unrecognised institution just because you will be handed additional degree upon completion is not a wise step. One might ridicule this advice as the ones who have followed this particular formula might currently be leading a comfortable life. Yes they might be but they might have got their degrees from a recognised and worthy institution instead of overflowing not worthy ones.
Education is important but it need be limited within the four walls. There is life beyond past the rigorous coaching classes and sleepless nights of mugging. Deciding for your future is advisable but don’t bend down to make your choices that you end up hanging all your life. Paying bribes to get admission, compelling carrier choices on your child will do no good. You might have a degree but without satisfaction.
Parents out there need to loosen up a little bit. Nobody wants to do badly in life. Everybody wishes for the best but they receive the best when they put effort towards their strength and turn it into something phenomenal.
You have multiple carrier choices to pursue. Find which suits you and do what works the best for you.
