Courage: Grace under Fire

Courage is a tremendous tool when used constructively and it demands risks, venturing into the unknown, facing obstacles, opposition, embarrassments and criticism with confidence. It takes the courage of a soldier to live honourably. No matter what a person does, there will always be critics and the critics sometimes may be very convincing. True courage is what it takes to stand firm when you stand alone it gives you the ability to be assertive and resist being paralyzed and lack of it destroys our ability to act. 
Sometimes even to live be an act of courage. Daily honorable living takes courage.
 Courage is another name for the ability to face criticism, and true courage is what it takes to stand firm when you stand alone and believe that your actions are worthwhile. True courage is also practicing integrity and honesty with ourselves and with those around us. It is the ability to decide when to advance or retreat on the basis of our belief system, the courage of some of our journalist  are to be lauded where they have paid the price for speaking the truth.
Real courage is demonstrated in behavior and not words only and it is rooted in values and results in convictions. Courage’s people face trying situations with wisdom to preserve honor, where as cowards are inclined to take the crooked path like violence as we see in today’s society.One individual with a back bone will accomplish more than a hundred men with a wish bone. Courage requires taking risks with the sense of responsibility towards oneself and those around
The greatest test of courage is accepting, loss without losing heart. Challenges in life make or breaks us depending on the stuff we are made up of and the goals we want to achieve in life. The important thing is to know how to rise above numerous disappointments that life has in store for most of us. By not practicing courage we deprive our society, we deprive our loved loves as well as ourselves from living a purposeful and meaningful life.
 The greatest test of courage is accepting loss without losing heart. Overcoming adversity takes exceptional inner strength as demonstrated by great people like Jesus Christ, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther and many others and that had the courage to dare the wisdom to see through the ignorance of  cowardly people who took to violence and other means to address issues in society. Courageous action may not always bring happiness but there is no happiness without courageous action. Courage will always help you find direction in a cluttered environment and culture. The problems we face today may have been solved more easily with a small courageous decision taken in the past.
God has filled us with an insatiable yearning for life in its fullness, towards what is always over the horizon of our possibilities, then is it any wonder that we are tortured by the futility of our own efforts to transcend our mortality. Turn your demons into art, your shadows into friends, your fears into fuel, your failures into teachers, your weaknesses into reasons to keep fighting. Don’t waste your pain. Recycle your heart with courage and dare to be a winner! Fly high and leave a legacy.
